Water fire extinguishing (sprinkler) systems are used in very large warehouses, hangars and production facilities.
System components; They are in the form of fire water tanks, fire pumps, distributor collectors and valves, fire cabinets, sprinklers and hydrants. These systems can be converted into foam extinguishing systems by adding a foam tank.
According to the way they work, these systems are divided into 4 main groups:
• Wet pipe systems
• Dry systems
• Systems operating with deluge valves
• Systems with preaction valves
Buildings where sprinkler systems are mandatory: According to Turkish fire protection regulations;
Residences higher than 51.59 meters (Basement floors included)
Office buildings higher than 30.50 meters (Basement floors are included)
All kinds of high-rise buildings other than offices and residences,
Indoor car parks with a capacity of more than 20 vehicles and more than one basement level,
Hotels, hostels and guesthouses with more than 200 beds,
Shopping malls, stores, entertainment venues, meeting rooms and workplaces with a usage area of over 2000 m2.
